 Safeguarding and Recruitment

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our recruitment process follows the guidance set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025), helping us to ensure that everyone who works with our pupils is suitable to do so. This includes carrying out appropriate pre-employment checks, such as enhanced DBS clearance, verifying identity, qualifications and employment history, and obtaining references. As part of our safer recruitment approach, shortlisted candidates will also be subject to online checks. We aim to create a safe, supportive environment for all pupils, and all staff play an important role in maintaining a culture where concerns are taken seriously and acted upon appropriately.
